Wilderness and Rescue Medicine

Wilderness and Rescue Medicine differs significantly from conventional medical courses and other programs that are oriented toward the urban environment. These courses teach you how to approach a medical emergency when help is miles away and calling 911 isn’t an option. We prepare students for emergency situations that involve prolonged patient care, severe environments and improvised equipment.

WMA really cares about the students. They don't just toss info at you and expect you to regurgitate it. They make sure you know it and can use it, without apprehension when you really need it.
