Ed has been a Firefighter for 27 years and a Paramedic for 21 of those years. A WEMT course through CB Outdoors resulted in an instructor course and then WALS. While working for a Colorado front-range fire department he served the High Angle Rescue and Wildland teams. His last big adventure was Hurricane Katrina where he was certified as a Medical Unit Leader by the Forest Service. His interests are everything having to do with wilderness, from year-round mountaineering to hunting and fishing. Ed is settled in the Greenhorn Valley of Colorado with his wife, Dorothy, and their claim to fame... four sons, four Marines.
